We accept all traditional insurance plans and also provide CareCredit options for patients having difficulty paying for treatment. Even if a patient is coming to us out of network, their insurance may cover at in-network percentages; please call and we can let you know.

Cone Beam Technology

This office has a Kodak 9000 3D cone beam unit that takes limited field (35mm x 50mm) scans as well as panoramic radiographs. This is the newest technology to affect endodontics and we are one of the very few endodontic offices in the front range that has one. Use of this technology can assist in diagnosis and treatment planning and has helped us confirm or dismiss the need for endodontic treatment. [See More]

Dr. Shelley has made significant investment in using the highest quality microscope available to dentists. It is used from start to finish on every patient without exception. Digital photos are continually taken through the scope in order to communicate the details of each case with you. There is also an assistant scope that allows the assistant to actively participate in delivering high quality care, which results in an improved experience for your patient.

Dr. Shelley restores many cases after root canal treatment in order to assure an adequate seal and prevent leakage frequently seen with temporary materials. Simple access restorations, orifice barriers, posts, and build-ups are all provided. In cases where it makes more sense for the restoration to be done in your office, the tooth receives a traditional temporary. Each patient can be customized to your preferences. [See More] You may let us know if you would like a restoration or no restoration.

Each case is summarized with a full color report that includes the patient picture, before and after photos and other recommendations. In addition, each month we send a summary of your patients that have been seen so that your office may review them and assure no one has been forgotten. You may also review various reports online. Other Technologies

Dr. Shelley makes use of a variety of technologies that improve care to patients.

Our delivery system is equipped with two ultrasonic units. Ultrasonics are useful in removing pulp stones, conservatively removing tooth structure, locating hard to find canals, removing posts, and for cleaning the tooth. Having two units allows us to have multiple options immediately at hand so that no compromises are made. This makes for thorough treatment without the sacrifice of a longer appointment

Digital phosphor plates are used for radiographs which means the advantage of digital but with the comfort of traditional films. Kodak Digital sensors are also used when easily accepted by the patient – these sensors provide enhanced images useful to endodontic treatment.

Traditional irrigation does not always get to the end of the canals system where it is needed to do its job. Dr. Shelley uses the Endovac negative pressure irrigation system that sucks the irrigant to the end of the canal assuring that 100% of the irrigant is available for apical cleansing, and that it is not expressed into the periapical tissues. Studies have shown improved apical cleansing and reduced post-operative sensitivity when this system is used. This means potentially better results for both you and your patients. When further activation of irrigants are needed, Dr. Shelley may also make use of the Endoactivator which aggitates the irrigants for more thorough cleansing of difficult to clean canal spaces. Cleaner tooth. Better results.
